Mine's actually a bit of a sad story. My mom had taken me out dress shopping, and I didn't find 'the one'. So she took it upon herself to go out and buy the fabric and pattern to one of the dresses that I had tried on... and made it.
I liked it, but it wasn't 'the one'.
As for my mom.... she was always doing crap like that. Still does.

OMG - I had the exact same dress!!! The only difference is that mine was shorter, about knee length. Too funny!
I bought that dress at Kohls for $36.00. And I still like it better than the one I wore to my senior prom, which cost me $200.00
